Thursday Night Dinner

Tonight we had good 'ol store bought cheese ravioli.  So to jazz it up, I roasted butternut squash with some sausage, sage, garlic and parsley. I added toasted hazelnuts and fresh parsley at the end. Delicious! Next time I would add a squeeze of lemon. It was rich and needed the acidity.

I can't make my own pasta, so I always buy store-bought and doctor it up. I like it just fine. It's the sauces that make the difference to me. This was plain 'ol four cheese Buitoni in the fridge section, but I buy frozen lobster ravioli and frozen butternut squash ravioli. We are lucky because I work just down the road from a little pasta shop (carmelaspastashop.com) and can get fresh pasta in about every form too.
