Just A Typical Sunday Morning....

I have started to go a Bible church in East Hampton.  It's a typical church....You can show up in jeans, shorts, whatever is comfortable with coffee in hand.  David and I usually stop on the way in so we have some before we get there.  The building is the usual white like most of the churches in the area.  (There are some GORGEOUS old churches here.) There are metal folding chairs when you walk in with green "kitchen chair" cushions on them. The building is also used for a Chinese-speaking church, so the banners and art on the wall are all in Chinese. I have no idea what they say.  The song leader, with a serious John Mayer thing going on, is usually already on stage with the guitars, drums and backup singers. Today we started out the service with KT Tunsall's Black Horse & The Cherry Tree  to promote the entertainment for the church picnic in August.....okay, so it's not your typical church....but the people are very friendly and community minded.  The messages are good and I think it's going to be a really good place to get to know people and get involved.  The small groups and classes are out for the summer, but will start up again in the fall.  I am looking forward to getting more involved.  I found it on-line.  If you want to check it out the website is:  http://ctehbc.com/.
