July 4th Trip to Texas
Here are just a few photos I got while in Texas. I came in on the morning of the 4th and stayed through Sunday evening. Got to see family and visit and eat some REALLY GOOD watermelon. And we even got in a few adventures.
Friday the 5th we went to Maskaras Mexican Grill in Dallas. We had chips & guacamole, tacos ahogados (drowned tacos), a chili relleno, flautas, and their daily special - Caldo Guisado de Carne Asada Y Frijoles. (steak sauteed in bacon, beans, cilantro, onions, radish in it's own juice.) The food was really good and it was a very friendly place. But the real draw was the decor!
Saturday the 6th mom and Marsha and I took a day trip to Broken Bow Oklahoma. Our first stop was lunch at Rolling Fork in Hochatown, OK. When we got there we realized it was a take out place for picnics and other outdoor activities. But we went in and ordered anyway. I got the chicken salad and a corn salad. Mom got sliders and Marsha got a Philly cheese steak. It was all really good and fresh. Then we set off to see the town.
It was a fun day and a really good trip!
