Sunday's Scene

I just LOVE this time of year. The corn and tomatoes .... yum!  We hit the farmer's market stands and picked up some good produce for this week. 

Then it was time for enjoying the beautiful weather!  It was a GORGEOUS day .... in the 70's.

And for dinner we smoked pork loin .... but this was the star! Slow roasted tomatoes, homemade ricotta and thick cut country bread toast. YUM! I got the tomato recipe here. Even if you don't want the ricotta, these tomatoes are WORTH the time! They were soooooo good and the house smelled like a pizzeria when I was making them.  This is a keeper of a recipe and it's the best time of the year to make it.  I'm sure we will have it again before fall.
