LYLE LOVETT and his ACOUSTIC GROUP

We  got to see Lyle Lovett at the Fox Theatre at the Foxwoods Casino.  Lyle and his Acoustic Group, that is.  I had to go back and read about who we saw last year, because I didn't know if they were the same people.  We saw:

• Viktor Krauss on bass
• Russ Kunkel on drums
• Luke Bulla on fiddle
• Keith Sewell on guitar

 

I've seen Lyle perform three times and this was the  most subdued.  There weren't any other vocalists.  Luke, Keith, and Lyle were up front in the spotlight and Viktor and Russ were in the back in the dark.  They spent the day in Watch Hill, RI eating lobster bisque on the beach.  Sounds like a good day to me!

 

We had a good time though.  He sand a lot of songs we weren't familiar with.  It was fun to hear some new songs.  David traded in the tickets when we got there for 4th row, so we were up close and personal.  But they were strict about photos, so I didn't get any good ones. I snuck one with my phone, but that's it.
