Easter Eggs

Saturday Nancy and Evan and I made some colored speckled eggs.  I saw this idea on The Kitchen. We wore gloves and it was pretty easy and not very messy.  I good way to color eggs!

Place white, uncooked rice in a plastic container with a lid. Add about 6 drops of your desired shade of food coloring. (We added 6 at first and more as we went along to get different and darker colors. 6 drops made light pastel eggs.) Shake up the rice until it's uniformly colored. Add a hard-boiled egg and put the top on the container. Gently shake the egg around until a speckled pattern emerges. Repeat with additional eggs. You can do 1 color, or mix it up with different colors in different containers. Just toss the eggs consecutively in each container.

We did all of the eggs in different way, so they were all unique.
