More Meal Planning

The last two weeks worked well, so I'm planning out our shopping again.  I will go to the store this afternoon. This will be my first trip with the new rules and my first time out wearing a mask.  Strange.

Here are the new grocery store rules:

  • Stores can only allow in 50 percent of what the total store capacity is, including employees.
  • Stores must mark six-foot distances in high traffic areas such as checkout lines.
  • Aisles should be one-way to maximize spacing between customers.
  • Plexiglass shields are being installed between a customer and cashier.
  • Stores must also allow for touch-less credit card transactions. (Apple Pay!)
  • Customers are encouraged to go by themselves when possible, and not shop with family members or other members of the household.
Here's my plan so far ... I guess it depends on what the store has.

Friday (4/17): Add butternut squash to leftover ham and beans with rice
Saturday (4/18): Ordered pizza and salad
Sunday (4/19): Smoked brisket, scalloped potatoes and broccoli
Monday (4/20): Hamburgers and fries
Tuesday (4/21): Taco salad
Wednesday (4/22): Ricotta and spinach calzones with marinara dip (new recipe)
Thursday (4/23): Creamy Tuscan Chicken Thighs with polenta (new recipe)
Friday (4/24): Fish in paper with rice and veggies
Saturday (4/25): Coconut chicken fingers with apricot dipping sauce with green veggie
Sunday (4/26): Spaghetti squash with meat sauce and cheese
Monday (4/27): Smoked chicken with baked sweet potatoes and green veggie
Tuesday (4/28): White chicken chili with cornbread (new recipe)
Wednesday (4/29): Fried Shrimp PoBoys with slaw or fries or veggies (new recipe)
